The last time there was a national emergency, Isle of Capri Casinos Inc. experienced a short decline in business, then a swift, healthy rebound.

Fun and entertainment were hard sells immediately after the September 2001 terrorist attacks, but Isle of Capri, which owns and runs 13 riverboat, dockside and land-based casinos, did better than some other gaming companies in the uncertain climate following the attacks.

Sin City's bail lowered for couple charged with extortion - 2003-03-12
A judge reduced bail Tuesday for a California couple accused of trying to extort $13.5 million from chanteuse Celine Dion's husband.

Sung also faces a March 31 trial in Clark County District Court on charges she did not repay $500,000 in casino loans to Harrah's hotel-casino in May 2001.
