Vegas betting ring related to casino employees - 2003-03-13
Two Atlantic City casino employees were among 10 individuals named in indictments Tuesday alleging they ran an illegal sports gambling operation.

Prosecutors accuse the group of having ties to the Luchese crime family in New York City and was responsible for passing thousands of dollars in proceeds.

Oklahoma gives go-ahead on bill calling for lottery vote - 2003-03-13
The Oklahoma House reversed itself Tuesday and passed legislation voted down a week ago that inquires voters to decide whether to create a statewide lottery to assist in funding public education.

Henry stated he has agreed to amendments that will be proposed in the Senate to strengthen language setting a minimum percentage of lottery revenue that will contribute to education, prevent minors from having access to lottery tickets...
