Brown, pastor of Victory Church, will immediately say that a church promotion, "The Game of Life," is not gambling, that no risk is included.

The church is in opposition to gambling but will offer people a chance to win $10,000 if they can make four baskets in a row in 25 seconds within 9:25 a.m. and 10:55 a.m. services on Sunday and also on March 23 and 30.

$30 million pledged for gaming expansion - 2003-03-14
Gambling promoters have vowed to pay the state $30 million in the next fiscal year if plans are authorized for slot machines at racetracks and a casino in Dodge City, an aide to Gov. Kathleen Sebelius stated Thursday.

The proposed payment and remaining details of Sebelius' preferred plan for expansion of legal gambling were detailed for the Senate Federal and State Affairs Committee by Matt All, the governor's chief counsel.
