Sebelius lays out $300 million budget package - 2003-03-14
Gov. Kathleen Sebelius stated today that she planned to lay out a budget proposal late next week or early the following week that would raise or cut $300 million to $330 million.

Her proposal will involve a gambling component and she didn't omit higher taxes.

Roseville senior citizen is robbed of $8,000 in scam - 2003-03-14
A 71-year-old Roseville man who attempted to assist his grandson, instead lost $8,000 to a con artist.
The thief, acting as the victim's grandson, stated he lost $8,000 in gambling at a Detroit casino and would be in serious trouble with some "real bad guys" if he didn't pay them back immediately.
