Indian tribes favor donor advantage instead of gaming interests - 2003-03-17
In their war with other gambling interests, American Indian tribes now have an advantage in political giving — they’re excluded from the overall donor limits in the nation’s new campaign law that began this election cycle.

The tribes, which last election distributed around $7 million in federal donations, do not have to comply by the overall individual donor limit of $95,000 in contributions to candidates, political action committees and parties...
