Caesars bets on Celine Dion show - 2003-03-23
The world's largest gambling house is betting major on love.

Celine Dion, the chart-breaking French-Canadian romantic singer, will launch a three-year exclusive engagement in Las Vegas on Tuesday in the $95 million Caesars Palace Colosseum theater, newly constructed by Park Place Entertainment Corp., the world's largest casino operator.

Bivins supports '02 expenditures - 2003-03-23
State Sen. Teel Bivins states his spending of $115,582 in political contributions in the last half of 2002, such as more than $1,700 for gifts, flowers and meals for his staff, fell during state guidelines.

He statedhis acceptance of $5,000 from the Tigua Indian Reservation Fund of El Paso and $2,000 from the Alabama Coushatta Tribe of Livingston did not reverse his opposition to casino gambling.
