Minnesota lawmakers put bets on a long shot - 2003-03-26
A set of lawmakers who have previously contested expanding Minnesota's gambling industry stated Tuesday they've had a change of heart and plan to endorse a bill that would create a nonreservation casino in the Twin Cities area...

Sen. Sandy Pappas, DFL-St. Paul, and Rep. Bill Haas, R-Champlin, stated they're supporting a bill that would help the bands, in a revenue-sharing scheme with the state, to build a new casino.
