Lawsuit returns to federal court - 2003-03-26
An Indian tribe that issued a lawsuit six years ago, claiming the city's method of awarding gambling licenses to casinos is unconstitutional, has returned to federal court.
The Lac Vieux Desert Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians went back to the U.S. 6th Circuit Court of Appeals in Cincinnati on Monday after settlement negotiations were unsuccessful for a second time, the Detroit Free Press reported Tuesday.
