Prosecutors issue a look at strategy from first Binion trial - 2004-01-01
Prosecutors are requesting a Clark County judge to waive the attorney-client privilege between Rick Tabish and his previous attorney, whom Tabish has suspected of improperly handling his appeal of his extortion conviction.

Tabish, whose murder conviction in the killing of Las Vegas casino figure Ted Binion was overturned, remains in prison since being also found guilty in the assaulting and extortion of former business partner Leo Casey.

Santa Fe Springs presents annual First Night street celebration - 2004-01-01
While other cities stopped similar events this year, Santa Fe Springs presented its annual no-alcohol New Year's Eve party Wednesday night that attracted dozens of families to the Town Center Plaza civic center.

Families were entertaines with casino games, live music, a rock-climbing wall and fireworks at midnight.
