The Annual Governor's Conference on Tourism Heading to Reno Hilton - 2004-01-12
The 2004 Governor's Conference on Tourism, Nevada's highest tourism business assembly, will be at the Reno Hilton hotel-casino Dec. 6-8, 2004, Lt. Gov. Lorraine Hunt, chair of the Nevada Commission on Tourism, reported today.

NCOT alternates the annual tourism conference between Reno and Las Vegas.
It was at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas and attracted over 800 delegates.

Reopened track to get improved expansion - 2004-01-12
It was a surreal scene: A funeral motorcade came from the Juárez Racetrack and Sportsbook following a slow ride on its way to the cemetery.

The racetrack has run into issues before. In 1999, federal officials accused the racetrack of casino gambling -- casinos are not legal in Mexico --and shut down its 332 video gaming machines.
