Governor supporting casino close to Speedway - 2004-01-14
Gov. Kathleen Sebelius is supporting a proposal to build a casino near the Kansas Speedway.

The governor's chief counsel, Matthew All, testified Tuesday before the Senate Federal and State Affairs Committee that the governor would endorse a state-owned or Native American destination casino.

South Korea investigates North Korea's cyber-casino - 2004-01-14
Security authorities here have issued a crackdown on South Koreans who have wagered through a "cyber-casino" run by North Korea's state lottery company, officials reported Tuesday.

Police have also opened an investigation into Hoonnet, a South Korean firm which has a partnership with the Internet lottery and gambling business named Jupae with North Korea.
