Going Ahead With Casino Schedule - 2004-01-14
If the people of Upper Michigan favor the proposed Negaunee Township casino, so does the governor. The Bureau of Indian Affairs is currently examining the land in trust application before sending it to Lansing for review.

At Saturday's tribal council meeting, KBIC Chairman Gene Emery stated that he hopes the tribe can start building the new casino this year.

Gov. McGreevey Eases Analysts Concerns Over Casino Industry - 2004-01-14
Gov. James E. McGreevey has invited about a dozen Wall Street gaming analysts to dinner at his Princeton mansion to enhance the administration's image among a group skeptical of his pledge to the Atlantic City casino industry.

Atlantic City gaming attorney Lloyd Levenson is scheduling the dinner, planned for Jan. 26 at Drumthwacket.
