St. Louis proposes Pinnacle for new casino location - 2004-01-15
Two St. Louis city development commissions on Thursday hit on Pinnacle Entertainment Inc. to manage a downtown casino complex, pushing out a rival proposal by Isle of Capri Casinos Inc.

St. Louis and St. Louis County chose to track casinos together to assist each other in getting better proposals, feeling that state gaming regulators were probably likely to authorize a two-boat, city-county project from the same company than a sole, county-only casino.

Darwin casino proposal yanks SkyCity down - 2004-01-15
SkyCity's agreements to purchase a second Australian casino, the Northern Territory's MGM Grand Darwin, yesterday was unsuccessful at raising the adrenaline level of investors.

Affirming market gossip that the company was undertaking due diligence on the business, SkyCity Entertainment Group managing director Evan Davies stated that the Darwin casino "represented an excellent opportunity for SkyCity to consolidate its position in the Australian gaming sector".
