Casino contract conflict sparks suit - 2004-01-17
A subsidiary of Equitex (Nasdaq: EQTX) has filed suit for having a contract cancelled to offer cash access services to the Seminole Tribe of Florida casinos.

Equitex stated earlier this month that its Chex Services subsidiary had been given a termination notice from Native American Cash Systems for its contract providing cash access services at five Seminole casino properties.

Liquor licenses a more secure gamble than riverboat - 2004-01-17
The words hesitantly dropped from Norb Fisher's mouth as he spoke about where to locate Lafayette's Riverfront Development District's eastern boundary. But they came easier as he moved along.

In easier terms, the last riverboat casino license in Indiana went to Orange County, where a new floating casino will launch, possibly as soon as this summer. It will float on a manmade waterway between French Lick and West Baden Springs. But not until Orange County officials choose a company to run it.
