Veteran’s charity casino concept faces strong opposition - 2004-01-20
State officials state that a Branford man’s inquiry to open a veterans’ charity casino has met with some formidable opposition, such as the Mashantucket Pequots and Mohegans.

Under his proposition, 50 percent of the casino’s earnings would go be allocated to the state, earmarked for police cars, fire trucks and similar equipment.
