Pinnacle Reveals Newly Appointed General Managers - 2004-01-21
Pinnacle Entertainment, Inc. today unveiled management changes to provide the leadership for its Lake Charles venture and maintenance of the success of its Belterra property.

Earlier, from 1999 to 2000, Mr. Buck was Senior Vice President and General Manager of Harrah's Reno in Reno, Nevada. From 1996 to 1999, he was Vice President/General Manager of the Players Casino in St. Louis, Missouri.

Bidding Battle Begins For Illinois Casino License - 2004-01-21
When casino businesses bid Monday on the state's sole remaining casino license, the rhetoric will be tough and full of strategic bluster.

"The companies might bid $200 million or $300 million," stated William Thompson, a gambling expert at the University of Nevada at Las Vegas. In the Chicago market, "One thing is for sure, the full 1,200 [gambling] spots in the casino will be filled... The casino is going to be an economic winner."
