Rose could appeal to assembly of 300 - 2004-01-23
A few weeks later after he wagered on baseball, Pete Rose is heading to an eastern Connecticut casino to autograph his new book and dine with high-rollers.

When questioned about Rose's appearance at the casino -- given his gambling past-- MacDonald stated that he didn't think about it.

"We've had a history with him and thought this was an interesting thing to do," he declared.

Car drives off casino parking deck in Vegas, two victims - 2004-01-23
A car drove off the fourth level of the Golden Nugget hotel-casino's parking platform, killing the two individuals inside, police stated.

The white sedan rammed through a concrete wall at about 4:45 p.m. Thursday, landing on its roof and wounding those inside, who were not identified right away by officials.

The cause is currently under investigation.
