Affleck Gambles His Troubles Away - 2004-01-24
Heart-broken actor Ben Affleck spent his first night as a bachelor gambling, in an attempt to forget about his break-up from his fiancee Jennifer Lopez.

The former Hollywood golden couple ended their romance on Tuesday following a whirlwind 18-month relationship.
Affleck and a group of supportive buddies spent Tuesday at a Los Angeles casino until 5am.

An onlooker stated that, "Ben looked really down."

Tribe Proposes Casino Agreement - 2004-01-24
The proposition, a state constitutional amendment, would allow tribes to feature all casino games, including craps and roulette, something they cannot do under current state law.

And it would permit them to manage as many casinos on their reservations as they chose, with as many slot machines as the market would bear... In exchange, tribes would pay 8.84% of their gambling earnings to the state — the rate that California corporations are taxed on their profits.
