Casino could invest $375 M into Southland - 2004-01-25
A casino in Country Club Hills could generate $375 million in revenue annually, delivering a sizable portion of that to struggling south suburbs and school districts desperately in need of cash, according to plans filed with the Illinois Gaming Board.

If the south suburbs win the right to construct Illinois' first new casino in 10 years, as much as $22.7 million in local taxes would be dished out annually to 18 suburbs and 32 school districts.

City partners with casino group - 2004-01-25
Chicago Heights would be one of 18 south suburban regions to get gaming tax revenue should a casino come to Country Club Hills, officials stated.
City council members have voted to defend its neighbor's proposal for the state's 10th and last casino license from the Illinois Gaming Board.

Officials state that Chicago Heights could get up to $675,000 annually from gaming taxes.
