Board to pick gaming member - 2004-01-27
Several important players in the saga of the San Manuel Bingo and Casino expansion will display their drama on a government committee.

The new advisory committee will suggest to the board how best to use about $1.5 million this year and similar sums in approaching years to handle traffic, noise, blight and other byproducts of the casino off Victoria Avenue.

Measure X campaign rejoices over office launch - 2004-01-27
Balloons, hot dogs and a highly-charged rock ‘n’ roll band launched the opening of the Yes on Measure X campaign office in the Kmart Shopping Center.

Nowicki stated that he is hearing from locals who are getting conflicting information on the casino and the measure, which will go before Hesperia voters on March 2.
