Poll shows R.I, Bay State locals spend big bucks at Conn. casinos - 2004-01-27
Betters from Rhode Island and Massachusetts drop over $1.1 billion annually at the Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun casinos in Connecticut, a new poll reported Monday.

On slot machines alone, Barrow discovered, Massachusetts locals spent $466 million and Ocean State gamblers $169 million as part of the close to $1.6 billion the Indian casinos generated in combined slot revenues.

New plan would allow panel to cooperate with Reno council - 2004-01-27
An advisory panel that features casino executives, engineers and arts supporters would work more closely with Reno council members on downtown redevelopment under a plan released Monday.

The Citizens Advisory Committee would take on a position very much like that of the city’s Planning Commission, reviewing downtown redevelopment proposals and making suggestions to the City Council.
