Summit announces proposed casino location - 2004-01-28
On one hand, the village of Summit informed its locals what they have a right to know by announcing the location of a proposed casino on Monday. That's good.

We're happy that Summit has acknowledged that its residents have a right to know where the casino could be established and released the information.

Initiative Could Provoke Greater California Gaming - 2004-01-28
A proposed California ballot initiative that could continue to increase competition for Nevada's gaming dollars was granted an initial green light in Sacramento.

“It's a way of getting the Indian casinos to the table on revenue sharing,” explained Phil Satre, chairman of the board of Harrah's Inc. and a Reno citizen.
