Pennsylvania Gov. Makers New Slot Sell - 2004-01-28
In an attempt to jump-start his delayed program of property tax relief, Gov. Ed Rendell proposed new legislation to authorize slot machines in 12 venues in Pennsylvania -- eight racetracks and four nontrack sites, one in Pittsburgh, two in Philadelphia and one yet to be decided by a new gaming board.

"Rendell said his proposal doesn't include a casino run by an Indian tribe."
