Could a casino be established in Flint? - 2004-01-29
The city of Flint is moving one notch up to bringing a casino to the city. ABC12's Katie Mitzner had more.

Talk of a casino arriving in Flint has been going on for years ever since Gov. John Engler made a land agreement with the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians. Flint is competing for the casino with Romulus and Monroe County, but before things advance, the city is going to the public for a vote.

Vote permits casino boat debut in Tarpon - 2004-01-29
It's been over a year since the last gambling cruise sailed out of Tarpon Springs, but this week city officials cleared the path for a new casino boat to cast off at the Sponge Docks.

Liberis asked the city for authorization to run the offshore gambling boat four months ago. He plans to secure a 202-foot vessel in international waters several miles from a dock that his company, sureBet Casinos of Florida, is leasing from Louis Pappas' Riverside Restaurant on Dodecanese Boulevard.
