Connecticut casinos looking at other states - 2004-01-29
Connecticut's two giant Indian casinos are currently looking to bankroll other Native American gaming projects across New England and the country in a major move to extend business beyond their Nutmeg State base.

The $1.5 billion Foxwoods Resort Casino is discussing providing financial and management support to a pair of Maine tribes eyeing plans for a "racino" after a state-wide vote approved slot machines at Maine racetracks.

MGM 'encouraged', demure over plans for casino - 2004-01-29
Gaming giant MGM Mirage isn't revealing if it will ultimately construct a new casino in Atlantic City. It's not saying it certainly won't, either.

Terry Lanni, MGM Mirage's chairman and chief executive officer, stated that he is encouraged by Gov. James E. McGreevey's new affirmation not to increase taxes on casinos or push for video slot machines at New Jersey racetracks without first winning the gaming industry's encouragement.
