Faulty hotel dryer results in Atlantis Casino fire - 2004-01-29
A fire on the interior of a laundry dryer in the basement of the Atlantis Hotel Casino early Wednesday morning sent smoke up an elevator shaft and triggered alarms in several areas of the south Reno facility.

Hotel guests were not evacuated, but some left their rooms, in addition to the casino, and waited outside until the fire was controlled, a spokeswoman for the hotel-casino reported.

Buyers Finalize Purchase of Moulin Rouge Hotel & Casino - 2004-01-29
The Moulin Rouge Development Corporation (MRDC) today revealed they have finalized the acquiring of the famous Moulin Rouge Hotel & Casino property for $12.1 million.

Launched originally in 1955 as the first racially integrated casino in Las Vegas, the Moulin Rouge soon emerged as the nightspot for big-name stars like Sammy Davis, Jr., Frank Sinatra and Harry Belafonte.
