Registration increases following changes at music school - 2004-01-30
Casino gambling and the economic strain have hit a few sour notes at Music Works Northwest in Bellevue in the most recent years.

Enrollment was dropping. Faculty members were complaining. A partnership with a recording company that used the school's sound studios had faded. Aside from losing bingo income to casino gambling — proceeds fell drastically to $650,000 last year — income from other fund-raising attempts was falling.
