Tribe, county happy with ruling regarding casino - 2004-01-05
It appears that El Dorado County and the Shingle Springs band of Miwok Indians are briefly satisfied with the outcome of a state lawsuit which was designed to stall or prevent eventual construction of a casino/hotel in Shingle Springs.

After consideration, Judge Lloyd Connelly of Sacramento County Superior Court, ruled last week that all aspects of an environmental impact report conducted on a proposed interchange and subsequent casino/hotel project on Shingle Springs Rancheria land had been met except one.

Castaways Hotel & Casino Finishes First Step to Becoming a Public Corporation - 2004-01-05
VSS ENTERPRISES, LLC, owners of the CASTAWAYS HOTEL CASINO AND BOWLING CENTER, disclosed today that Dec. 31 marked the completion of the first step of its reorganization plan.

The plan, when complete, will result in registering and listing on NASDAQ NATIONAL MARKETS common shares of stock in the CASTAWAYS HOTEL CASINO AND BOWLING CENTER.
