Court decides against casino opponents - 2004-01-07
A Superior Court judge has ruled against an environmental challenge to a planned Indian casino near Shingle Springs, paving the way for construction to begin as soon as the middle of this year.

The court held that the environmental review of a proposed Highway 50 interchange was adequate, according to a news release from Lakes Entertainment Inc., which is under contract to build and operate the proposed casino.
