Sequel drives writer back into casinos - 2004-02-01
Las Vegas author and practical gambling queen Jean Scott says the editors of her first book grew tired of her last-minute efforts to fine-tune the manuscript.

Curtis recommended Scott do a complete sequel to "The Frugal Gambler," a 1998 best seller for Huntington Press on how amateurs can use the casinos' systems for player points and comps to best advantage.

Is a casino in downtown Rochester’s future?
Follwing years of gossip, serious discussions are under way about the possibility of East Main Street, especially the Sibley Building or Midtown Plaza, blossoming with a sea of one-armed bandits.

The talks come as governments increasingly look to gambling for new profits and as a Rochester mall magnate continues to work with Indian tribes to construct a casino in New York.
