Kalispels debut major Northern Quest venture - 2004-02-13
The Kalispel Tribe of Indians, in what seems to be an increasing competition with the Coeur d’Alene Tribe’s growing hotel and casino facility close to Worley, Idaho, this week opened a multimillion-dollar expansion of its Northern Quest Casino in Airway Heights.

Additionally, an auditorium at the casino named the Pend Oreille Pavilion will be transformed into a nonsmoking gaming area with 200 new video slot terminals, bolstering the casino to about 1,200 gaming terminals in total, and the casino’s full ventilation system will be upgraded.

Casino backers, foes dispute upcoming referendum - 2004-02-13
Local supporters and opponents of the proposed DeJope casino disputed the issue in a forum at the Wisconsin Union Thursday.
The issue will be determined by voting within Wisconsin's Feb. 17 primary.

Speakers at the forum featured representatives from the Ho Chunk Nation and opponents from No Dane Casino.
One of the issues No Dane Casino is paying attention to is the diversion of money from smaller downtown businesses, which could force them to close.
