It's business as usual for the two tribes highly likely to enter Connecticut's gaming market, as an anti-casino road show makes its way through western Connecticut and legislators renew their calls to reform the federal recognition process.

Several communities that filed as “interested parties” within the petition process would have the right to appeal to the interior board, said president of the Connecticut Alliance Against Casino Expansion, Jeff Benedict.

Bank drawing in on Anastasia riverboat - 2004-02-13
A bank has filed a lawsuit to foreclose on the company that controlled the excursion boat Anastasia, declaring the company is in default of a loan and owes over $237,000 in principal, interest and attorneys’ rates.
Peyman brought the boat to the Alton riverfront in May 2001 in anticipation of offering another attraction to go along with the Alton Belle Casino.

Mayor Don Sandidge and the Alton City Council helped publicize the venture in hopes of luring additional tourists to the city.
