Developer Said To Be Offered New Jersey Casino Authority Job - 2004-02-04
Cape May County real estate developer Curtis Bashaw has been offered the executive director's job at the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority, as reported by state Sen. Nicholas Asselta.

Asked about Bashaw in a phone interview Friday, Asselta, R-Cape May, Cumberland, Atlantic, stated, 'It's my understanding that he was offered the job, and we're just waiting for the governor to make the announcement.'

Casino vote sees light again - 2004-02-04
The figures are in for the Rhode Island Lottery. The numbers speak for themselves and for the worth of a casino in Rhode Island, according to Rep. Timothy A. Williamson (D-25).
"Over the past 10 years, we have learned two things: casinos aren’t the end of Western Civilization, and they provide much-needed economic development."

If a casino is constructed in West Warwick, it will generate an estimated 3,500 full-time positions, explained Williamson. He also discussed the boost it offer tourism.
