| There are more than a few theories on the beginning
of keno, but the most appealing one goes like this. It is said
that in the 3rd century BC, a Chinese city was at war and was
starting to run low on supplies. The citizens had declined to
donate additional funds to the city's war chest, and consequently
the general in charge of the city shaped a lottery-like game
to raise cash for the war effort. It appears that, the game
was a huge hit--people took to it in flocks, and the city increased
more than enough money to carry on its war effort. |

| In those times, no one would have forecasted
the appearance and popularity of internet keno. But then again,
you're almost certainly not using your keno winnings to fund
a war effort. Or at least we hope not. In any event, please
